Football Victory Makes Homecoming
Day Happy Occasion In Kingfisher

Yellow Jackets Romp
Over Yukon Team 46-0

Kingfisher won the homecoming
game impressively, downing Yukon
46-0. The Yellow Jackets scored
two touchdowns each quarter of
the first half, sparked by the
Eugene Wheeler to Bill Gooden
passing combination
, and Bill
Miller's running. [ 1st - 2nd]
In the third quarter, Jerry Burns
passed to Gooden for a touchdown,
and Miller ran 12 yards for an-
other. In the final period a

Kingfisher tried 12 passes, com-
pleting four for 109 yards and
having one intercepted. Yukon
tried seven passes; none was com-
plete and two were intercepted.
Each team fumbled once, Yukon
recovering both. Kingfisher was
penalized 35 yards and Yukon 50
yards. Kingfisher made 12 first
downs and seven penetrations and
Yukon made two first downs and
no penetrations. The Yukon rush-
ing game lost almost as many
yards as it gained.
