KINGFISHER HIGHSCHOOL CLASS of 1952
PROPHECY OF 1952

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Classmates of '52. Know ye by these presents that your prophets-----Bill Davidson, Dena Meier, Jim Burns, David Van de Wege, Alice Hansens----On this 26th day of May 1957 made the yearly pilgrimage to our Alma Mater to record in the "Annals of Time" the chronicles of our class members.

We found our records well preserved in the History Room and hereby make these further additions.

Earl Bengs, class president in our Junior year has completed his Doctor of Divinity degree and has accepted the pastorate of the 1st Baptist Church in Chicago. Earl still sings for public gatherings.

Gerald Wayne Bishop has completed his mortician's course and has established his own business. His hobby is still drum beating.

Jim Burns now rolls his own pills and dishes out free advice to the ailing. He still has a yen to lug a Sousaphone around.

Roy Calavan has become a very successful farmer and specializes in stock breeding. He no longer needs to give lessons on "How to skip school leisurely" in three easy lessons.

Norma Campbell is business manager of a wholesale grocery company in Tulsa. Norma is much in demand as a lecturer.

Donna Cochrane is bookkeeper for the Amalgamated Steel Corporation in Pittsburgh, Penn. She no longer has time to sell turkeys for the Holiday market.

Floyd Cross has cashed in on his method of terracing waste land. He has forgotten his ambition to be an auctioneer.

Bill Davidson, now a C P A, is in the money because of his exceptional ability and pleasing ways. He remains true to his first and only love.

Richard Danne has completed his course in architectural designing and has landed several big contracts for designing public buildings in Cleveland, and Ohio. Richard continues his musical avocation.

James Davis, still handsome and charming, has taken up bonanza farming since graduating from A & M. He still carries his driving trophy with him on all his travels.

Jimmie Edwards, still a hermit soul who dwells apart, holds a responsible job as Chemical Consultant for Atomic Bombs, Incorporated. His great knowledge amazes his co-workers.

Pat Egleston is secretary to the Price Administrator in Washington, D. C. She keeps her beautiful complexion by the application of "Ashes of Craterville".

Duane Fike has decided to make the Army his career and is now a Master Sergeant stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He can now maintain his own identity since his identical twin brother, Wayne, did not choose to don the uniform.

Wayne Fike is an expert carpenter and cabinet maker with headquarters at Oklahoma City. He plans to design a new Club House at Craterville. Wayne and his brother, Duane, have long since stopped the dosage of Hadacol, since it did not change their stature one inch.

Bill Gooden, famous for his versatility, has no difficulty in managing one of the Gooden Hardware Stores, organizing and participating in Athletic clubs, sponsoring Boy Scout work, and giving generously of his time to various Civic enterprises. Women like Bill's attentive attitude.

Mary Louise Hamby has completed her course in Music and Dramatics at Washington University and is a featured singer with one of our leading orchestras. She no longer holds a "pet peeve about diced ice cream".

David Hunt has arrived! He is now Vice-President of the J.C. Penny Co. He learned to be a business executive while he was our Paper Drive Chairman.

Alice Hansens Crabtree is a busy, happy efficient housewife. She is now Queen of her home as her experience as FFA Queen qualified her to reign well.

Willa Jo Hawkins has run the gamut of school honors. She received a Cum Laude along with her degree in Psychology at Phillips University. She has charge of Fine Arts at Drake University. She was also known for her ability to lead the K. H. S. Band to greater victories.

Marilyn High has graduated from Northwestern University and is teaching Public School Music in Detroit. During her summer vacations she acts as hostess for a swank hotel dining room. She was a charming receptionist during her Highschool days.

Pat Jones is a supervisor of nurses at Wesley Hopkins Hospital. She retains her girlish figure by mountain climbing since she became an expert in that art at Craterville.

Edward Koonce has graduated from theological school and is a successful pastor in Austin, Texas. How we envied him for his calm and kindly nature, and his sheer love of work!

Francis Kauper----that girl so admired for her tall and stately beauty----is an efficient and pleasant secretary in the general offices of the Great Southern Life Insurance Company. She knows that every time your love life becomes complicated, the best panacea is more work.

Jane Kuntz does office work for the Pittsburgh Paint and Glass Company of Kansas City. She is willing to pay cash instead of running charge accounts. Her sister Jean no longer reprimands her on this score.

Jean Kuntz works in the County Clerk's office in El Reno. At any rate she doesn't have to memorize the "Declaration of Independence" there.

Bill Maxon, our beloved Senior President, forged ahead and is a successful chemical engineer at Omaha, Nebraska. Always a practical and hard working lad, he conducts a dance band. Soon he hopes to return to Kingfisher to look after his various interests.

Dena Meier types income tax returns at the State Capitol. As pep Queen she learned the need of charming the spectators.

Billy Miller finds great joy in his job as Chemical Engineer with the Burrus Milling Company of Dallas. For diversion he plays ball.

Roy McNaught Jr. has accomplished his life-long aim--------he is an accountant. He has had wide experience in business administration. Roy is still known for his co-operation in putting over a program and ranks first as an entertainer.

Lenora Williams loves her job as Secretary for the O K Furniture Company of Oklahoma. She hopes that she can soon buy a complete outfit of furniture for that "little love nest".

John Sain, the pride of K H S, now teaches other boys to be first class athletes. He is assistant coach at O. U. He is interested in securing a plain band of gold for the most popular girl in the High School Annual.

Elsie Lamebull has graduated from Haskell University and now teaches Indian Arts and Crafts at her Alma Mater. Elsie is still agile when it comes to mountain climbing.

Robert Taylor maintained his scholastic record at O. U. and is now a civil engineer at Denver. When he feels happy he sings----at other times he plays ball with a vengeance.

Don Trindle had applied all the teachings of Roger Howell on his farm and has attained outstanding success. He can still swing through the trees with the greatest of ease.

John David Van De Wege has a position as accountant in Tulsa-----now he enjoys the "Numbers" game. He has added to his record library and if that won't fill his mood, he can still toot a trombone. Why not let him review the latest historical novel for you?

Vernon Walker does not fear the oil and gas strike. He is now a petroleum engineer and can supply his own needs. "Speedy" remembers his winning the third consecutive "Downhill Derby"------"Old Plymouths never die, they just fade away".

Don Porter, who received his diploma in absentia is still in the Navy. There has been no limit to the examinations he has creditably passed. Some day soon he'll be coming back to Woo sweet Sally!

So down rings the curtain! Another year's record has become history. We'll be seeing you next year------may the reunion be happy and foretelling many good events.
